On 3rd May,we celebrated our 40th anniversary in style at the Glazert Country House Hotel in Lennoxtown. Our annual prize giving followed the AGM and a celebratory dinner. With three new awards added for this, our special year, we presented 6 trophies, with the most successful writer of the year award going to Andy Raffan.
We were delighted to welcome our special guests, Gerry and Gill O’Hare. Gerry is the youngest son of our beloved Theresa O’Hare who passed away in November. He cut the cake and presented the Theresa O’ Hare Poetry Prize, a silver quaich plus £100 donated by the family, to Matthew Keeley.
The occasion also marked our first year of face-to-face meetings after 17 months online which gave us ample additional cause for merrymaking!
