Our Members
We’re a diverse collective of writers who write across all the genres. Some write simply for pleasure; others write as a career; and some sit somewhere in the middle, writing both as a hobby, sharing their work with family and friends. Many of our members enjoy the sense of satisfaction that comes from seeing our work published as books or in magazines, poetry pamphlets, anthologies and newspapers. We all take pride in the successes of our members and we celebrate these regularly.
Testimonials
Here’s what some of our members say about Strathkelvin Writers’ Group.
I'm always assured of a warm welcome. Everyone is very friendly and the group has been a tremendous support to me from the early days when I first started writing.
Elizabeth McKay
Author of ‘Wee Granny’ series of children’s books
Quite simply, I would never have found a publisher if not for the support and encouragement of Strathkelvin Writers' Group.
SWG members believed in me before I believed in myself, and for that I will be forever grateful.
T.F. Muir
Author of the ‘Gilchrist’ series of crime novels.
…when I discovered Strathkelvin Writers, it was like coming home. Years later still I feel a deep attachment to the Club as well as huge gratitude.
Not only was I encouraged to try a wide range of styles but I was welcomed and encouraged as a person. The weekly nights were both stimulating and importantly FUN!
