When and Where

During our approximately 30-week season we meet every Tuesday between 7.00pm and 9.00pm in the Leven Room at Woodhill Evangelical Church on Wester Cleddens Road in Bishopbriggs. The half hour from 7.00 to 7.30 is an informal time for tea/coffee and gives the chance for members to chat about writing or indeed anything else.

If unusual circumstances, such as the coronavirus pandemic or severe weather, prevent us from meeting face to face, we do our very best to organise a meeting on Zoom.

You’ll find directions and map below.

The church is located at 30 Wester Cleddens Road, G64 2NH. From the mini roundabout, at the junction of Wester Cleddens and South Crosshill Road, take the exit into Cleddens Court behind the block of flats until you reach the Church car park. The entrance takes you to the ground floor which is where we normally meet.

Competitions

Every year we run a range of competitions covering genres such as short stories for various markets including women’s magazines, article writing, poetry, novel writing, writing for children, flash fiction and memoir writing. Each competition is adjudicated by an accomplished writer, whether as a member or a guest. We have a number of trophies which are awarded at our annual prize giving event.   Download our competition rules here
